Dr. Erika Jurasits is an osteopathic physician with over twenty years of experience in primary care, treating patients with conventional medicine. Her transition to functional medicine stems from her deep-seated belief that the body should be treated as a whole rather than as individual parts. This integrative, “whole body treatment” focuses on improving the mind, body and spirit, utilizes the body’s healing properties, and creates a sense of complete wellness.
Dr. Jurasits’ goal is to work collaboratively with clients utilizing the five pillars of health: hormone balance, detoxification, nutrition, fitness and relaxation to improve health and vitality.
In her free time, Dr. Jurasits enjoys spending time with her 2 boys, running and relaxing with yoga and meditation. She also loves being in nature and working in her organic garden.
Erika Jurasits, D.O., founder of Integrative Healing Wellness, Inc. in Port Jefferson, and board certified in Family Medicine, uses a patient-centered approach to find the “root cause” of illness and bring the body back into balance.
Jessica is a health coach graduate of the Soma Institute of Chicago in 2015. She is currently pursuing a masters in Integrative Medicine with Maharishi University. Jessica is also a Registered Yoga Teacher and Reiki Practitioner. Her passion for understanding the mind-body connection is what led her to Integrative Medicine. She believes in a holistic approach to well-being, an approach that considers all aspects of the human being- mind, body, and soul.
Jessica’s own journey to health and healing started at the young age of 10. She was in a traumatic car accident that left her with 2 broken legs and a wounded soul. Yoga, meditation, breathwork and good nutrition are what allowed her to heal physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. Jessica became a health and wellness coach to help guide others through times of transformation, deep healing, and self-growth.
